Bookmarking or Favorites Improvement
« on: March 08, 2013, 06:29:01 pm »
Hi,

I would like to have an intuitive usable bookmarking system like it is in Firefox. I thought, I found it as I discovered the favorites view. But:
  • I wasn't able to add any element to the favorites folder in the view using an intuitive way and
  • as I read the help I was suprised that only elements and NO diagramms could be added

Best Regards

Well, it's not like Firefox bookmarks, but it's called bookmark. Select an element in a diagram an press shift space. A little red triangle appears on top of the bookmarked element. With Ctrl-F you can find bookmarked element with the appropriate search.

There's one bookmark per element (and only settable via a diagram). To find it (as already said): Ctrl-F, Find Bookmarked Elements.

You can also create a Favorites folder in the Model Views window which allows you to keep links to frequently used elements and diagrams.

See:

Under a Model View root node you can create Views folders that can contain Search View folders, Slideshow folders and Favorites folders.

A Favorites folder gives you easy access to commonly-used items in the Project Browser; to create hyperlinks in a Favorites folder to the required items in the Project Browser, drag items from the Project Browser into the Favorites folder
