Show Tagged Values in the Specification Manager
« on: July 31, 2014, 05:27:01 pm »
Hi,

I started to use EA11 Specification Manager to create new requirements. As I have a UML profile with stereotyped requirements, I need to show and update the tagged values ( inherited from the stereotype).

Could tagged values be added to the Field Chooser list?

Thanks

Guillaume

Hi Guillaume,

Your request is available in a limited way in build 11.0.1107. See http://www.sparxsystems.com/resources/webinar/requirements-management/specification-manager.html, look for "Can I display Tagged Values as columns?".

Currently, there is no inline editing of these values. You have to use the "Extended properties" in the context menu and a separate window to edit the values. So if I may hijack your feature request, I would like to see inline profile specific tagged value editing.

And in the SysML profile, the requirement text is not contained in the “notes”, but in the SysML “text” attribute.
So another feature request would be to enable “inline editing” for another memo field than the default “Notes” in the specification manager.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice ; the workaround seemed suitable for my need however I encountered the following issue.
My tagged value is a RefGUIDList and the value displayed in the table is the referenced element's GUID instead of its name.

I will log this as a feature request so the information rendered matches the one from the tagged values view.
