Exporting BPMN Diagrams for XML Repository

Any recommendations on the best way to export data out of a Sparx EA BPMN diagram such that the output can be easily loaded and queried in a separate XML repository.

I've looked at the XMI export, but that provides a large volume of tagged items that are not relevant.  There are maybe 20 or so characteristcs of a BPMN that I want to export out and allow to be viewed in a repository.

Any thoughts on the best way to do this is appreciated.   Thanks
