Problem with HTML Report
« on: January 06, 2016, 04:41:36 am »
Hello!!

I've a EA Version 8, my problem is that when using the HTML Report, when I open the report with IExplorer (Version 6)... ups!!... IExplorer does not open correctly... No respond  :o :-\

But if using Firefox, it works correctly!! (in my House)

What is the problem? (I only have Explorer V6 in my work)
What settings should I do in the HTML Report or in another section of EA?

I think you probably need to upgrade you EA version.  I seem to remember a long time ago there was a bug in the html that caused this issue with IE (don't recall which version) but it has been fixed for a few years now.

IE6 is a fifteen-year-old browser, I'd say you're lucky if it works for anything.  Microsoft shortly will not be supporting anything prior to IE 11.

The only thing I can suggest is if you still have an active Enterprise Architect subscription you could try some older (or newer) versions of EA to see if any of those work in IE6 and then modify the templates for your current version of EA to produce something similar.

Other than that... Maybe you could use it as further justification to replace IE6.

Just an odd thought, but could you parse the HTML through an HTML to CHM tool and get something a bit more palatable?  There seem to be a couple on sourceforge.

Are you sure you don't want it to work on Windows 3.1 as well?
