Using EA floating licences in 'mixed' mode
« on: February 03, 2016, 06:56:15 am »
Hi, I would like to implement the 'mixed' mode for floating licenses - setting up two key stores, one for mobile users and one for desktop users, as mentioned in pages 22-23 of the SSKeyStoreUG.pdf.  I haven't found instructions on how to do this, however, that is not file-based.  Can I create two network-based key stores that are running on the same machine, or will one have to be filed-based?

Unfortunately, the server can only be run once, hosting a single keystore on a machine.

Hi Simon,

Appreciate the response!  So would you say there are two ways to go about it:
1. Set up the other key store on another server
2. Set up the other keys as a file-based key store

Is #2 not recommended at all?

Thanks!

You can do #2, but back up the file. It's likely to get corrupted at some point.
