Deletion without confirmation
« on: July 13, 2016, 05:51:53 am »
I was just trying to duplicate an operation with Ctrl-D. But guess what: it did not duplicate. It deleted the current operation. Without confirmation. Am I wrong in thinking that a tool doing a destructive delete without confirmation and without the possibility to undo is simply broken?

Sorry Q,

but Features - whether structural or behavioural - have always been second (or third) class citizens of the EA UoD.  You can purge (from the repository) attributes and operations with a simple press of the delete ke, never mind Ctrl+D

Not really. When I try to delete a method in the browser I'll be asked. Doing so in the diagram will delete without confirmation. Using Ctrl-D in the Attr/Oper dialog also deletes without asking. This is simply just rotten.

As a side note: in the Feature Visibility window the text "Show" appears as "Sh.." twice. What did they want to tell us? Should the ".." be replaced with "it"?

Personally I'm a fan :-)  I get a bit tired of dialogs for wusses.

Yeah, why conform to accepted pattern languages for User interaction?

But for consistency's sake we should do the same for elements and packages.
