copy/paste dependencies
« on: July 28, 2016, 12:55:02 am »
When I copy paste an object (ArcGIS) from one model to another the relationship classes that are associated keep the original model as the source.
I can't find a way to redirect the source to the new target model.
Both tables of the relationship exist in the target model. I can go into the links, modify the (general tab) name.
I can locate the related element, and remove the user.dbinstance (myuser.INSTANCE.AlignmentSheet) from the front. Which makes it look "ok" in the relationships element dialog. But when I dig into the properties of the relationship the source is still in the originating model.
I go to Role(s) and see a list of sources I can choose from but all the tables in the list are in the originating model and there is no navigation (to other models) in that pulldown.
I also go to the binding and see that coming from the originating model.
The only option obvious is to delete the relationship and recreate it.
ok once would be a nobrainer. but some features (tables) have 40 to 50 relationships.
If I drag and drop both tables from the relationship, I can modify everything except for the binding which is still fromthe originating model.
