1303: Virtualized Connector End needs shapescript
« on: August 02, 2016, 09:57:59 am »
We've allowed a few of our users to use the Beta release in production.  One needed to show more than one instance of an element on the same diagram.
So we told them about virtualised connector ends.

They get the concept that they aren't seeing two (real) instances of the same object.
They get that they need to have the connector in a particular state to "trigger" the menu item.
What they DON'T get is why the second shape looks so different to the first shape.

To their mind (and mine, for that matter) it significantly defeats the purpose of the functionality.  In the past I have suggested possible solutions to the problem (of iondicating that one is the rela item and that the others are "doppelgangers").

Can this be fixed before release?  The current functionality is an improvement on the original and suggests attempts by Sparx to resolve the matter along the lines I've suggested, it just needs the "final push".
