xmi:Extension spec
« on: December 18, 2010, 04:07:30 am »
I have been playing with XMI/UML generation so that it can be imported into Sparx.

XMI 2.1 is split into two parts: the <UML:Model> part, and the <xmi:Extension> part.

The former is where the standard UML stuff lives, enough to create and name objects, attributes, etc. However the detail is held in Sparx own "extension" format. I have contacted Sparx support but have been told they don't have a XSD or DTD for what should be in their own extension (!). Has anyone else created XMI for import into Sparx ? (and got it to work....)

thanks
