Today we've released the "
EA Connector for Jira" v2.0.
For those who experienced problems with activation and configuration of v1.0, here are good news. This release greatly facilitates the installation and configuration, because:
1. There is only one add-in (EA side). It’s no needed the Jira plugin anymore.
2. There are not necessary postfunctions, services or listeners configuration on Jira.
3. There is no intermediate tables and database connection. EA “talks” with JIRA webservices directly, not through Jira's database instance
4. The EA element type / stereotype and Tagged Values could be mapped versus Issue Types and Custom fields via user interface.
5. This version is operational in any version of Jira (4.2, 4.3…), because it makes use of SOAP technologies.
6. The License activation has been simplified (no internet activation needed)
7. General performace improved.
8. Unlimited users edition available.
