Structering a UML Profile by using packages

Hi,

I'm currently creating a UML Profile which contains a lot of custom stereotypes. In order the keep it understandable, I'd like to structure it by using packages or something similar.
Is it possible to define my stereotypes in different packages which are merged into one Profile package which can be exported? I tried to do so but did not succeed. I was only able to export these "subpackages" UML Profiles.
