Error importing elements from a Word document into EA as a model

Hi,
I successfully created a custom profile according to sample document I wanted to import into EA using the MDG add-in to import Word documents. While importing; I could see the preview of the EA Model (as it would look after the import); however; on clicking the "Import" button, the plug-in processes all the elements in the Word document but also fails every element and the system hangs - so the document is not imported.
Note: In the "Importing Document" window; the "Abort" button is highlighted after all elements have failed and the system hangs.

Please can someone who has encountered a similar problem suggest the solution? Possibly the Tech support team can post a FAQ or troubleshooting tips to resolve the issue?
