Archimate 2 Elements
« on: October 20, 2016, 03:15:00 pm »
I struggle with a few UI issues and would appreciate any help on this .

Mostly use Archimate 2 elements and would like to know the following

1. How to wrap text in the element display . Note I tried Feature Visibility --> "Wrap Features" but nothing happens
2. How to display additional details in the UI . I have added Operations and attributes to my element , how to make this visible in the diagram

I don't think Archimate elements supports attrbiutes and operations. You should check the archimate documentation on that.

I guess you figured out the name wrapping issue yourself.

An Archimate element is just a shape and doesn't have compartments to display attributes in.  Archimate supposedly can be extended with attributes but the manner you do it was never really thought through.  (http://pubs.opengroup.org/architecture/archimate2-doc/chap09.html#_Toc371945250)

Most of the people here seriously using Archimate (I can't help thinking that's an oxymoron) have created their own MDG with different shape script to better support their UMLizing of Archimate.
