Help for new Enterprise Architect User
« on: December 13, 2016, 03:47:49 pm »
Hi guys, I am completely new to Enterprise Architect. I have (or atleast I think I have) created a metadata model using Classes. The model revolves around networks, sites, nodes, vContainers (VM Templates) and applications. I was wondering now that I have built the meta model how do i actually populate it with all the different applications, vContainers, etc etc.

If you have any noob tutorial videos you can recommend I would love to know. Also, is there a way to automate parent class information from child classes? Also, is there a way I can have attributes with a firm set of types that are required to be specified. I.E. I am thinking of something like Storage Tier and having a set of numbers that link back to another set of classes that articulates what those storage levels actually are.

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated.

Regards,

OzDM

Hi,

the easiest way is to use:
- SPARX Resources (see SPARX Website), Webinars and more
- EA Example Model (under Help in EA)

Kind regards,
