Usage of environment variables or EA Local Paths

Hello,

is it possible to use environment variables or EA Local Paths for related files for a SpecificationDoc element like

 %MyBaseDir%\MyFolder1\MyFolder2\MyWordDocument.doc ?

I have tried both ways but the launch button only works if I use the real path with drive letter (e.g. G:\BaseFolder\MyFolder1\... ).

Does anyone have an answer to this question? I would also very much like to be able to use environment variables in File links and have them launch.
