Document Generation add database name in the footer
« on: February 22, 2017, 09:17:23 pm »
Hello,

I am trying to insert the name of the database in my document generation.
How can I do this? Which value I have to add on the project contrants for this purpose? Or do I have to find another way?

Its not enough  to hardcorde the name in the footer.

The information below couldn't help me:

Hello,

For a simple solution, I'd go with a project constant. You can name them anything, and they'll show up in the context menu in the RTF template editor. With this solution, you need to make sure the project constant is set (and has the same name) in all projects where you'll be using the template.

Less straightforwardly, there's no name stored in the EA project. There's a GUID which you can access through the API (and thus include in a script-enabled template), but no name.

Even less straightforwardly, there is actually a table t_constants with a column ProjectName, but there seems to be no way to modify what's stored in this table. It might be connected to something, it might not. Here be dragons. Use at your own risk.

My theories are always correct, just apply them to the right reality.
