Snap Lines - Allow overlay?
« on: March 09, 2017, 06:08:01 pm »
The Diagram | Behaviour | Snap Lines | [ ] Auto Tidy setting applies only to Custom Line Style.

I would like the ability to easily overlay lines onto of each other (for example, with some of the newer line styles).  It seems to me we can use the same concept to make it easier to do that.

If  [X] Auto Tidy is enabled, then if two lines are less than the Gap (or perhaps half the Gap), then selected line could snap over the other line.

Thoughts?

I find sometimes I have to "duplicate" tree" style connectivity (e.g. where I want two differing trees connecting to an entity),
and getting those lines perfect aligned is a PITA.

But then I don't see why we can't move connectors using the keyboard in the same way as we can move elements.

As someone, not a million pixels from here, says:  "Orthogonality Rules".

Not the first time this has been asked for.  I'd love some functionality similar to what Visio has for org charts to be able to create tree structures.
