Use of AddIn search
« on: September 08, 2011, 01:06:57 am »
Has anyone an example for me of how to use Addin-Search.
The text in the help leaves to be desired.

What must be entered in the Repository.RunModelSearch (string sQueryName, string sSearchTerm, string sSearchOptions, string sSearchData) Method?
And what must be the result in the Plugin.

There used to be an example of that somewhere in the documentation or on the website.
I remember seeing such an example, but I don't remember where :-[

This text is the same like in the EA Help. I think it is to less information.

Hmm, seems pretty straightforward to me.
Are you having problems getting it to work?

There's not much in the help because there's not much to say. I have only ever used it once in an add-in. I put the name of a search in the first parameter and left the other three parameters as empty strings. It opens up the Model Search tab and performs the search (the same as if you go Edit > Model Search, choose from the Search list and press Run).
