Interaction occurences in communication diagrams

Hello,

     It is valid to use interaction occurences (or interaction uses) in Communication Diagrams? I know that it is common in sequence diagrams, but the same is true to communication diagrams? It is correct to refer to another communication diagram by means of interaction occurences?

Hi,

in EA you can drag a Communication Diagram as an InteractionOccurence from the Browser to the Communication Diagram canvas.  As far as I have seen you can't make a message from or to an InteractionOccurence.

Another possibility is to drag a  Communication Diagram as a Diagram Frame to the communication Diagram canvas. With this, I've managed to create messages. The drawback is that it's, in fact, a little diagram inside a diagram.

I don't know anyone who uses Communication Diagrams.

Maybe someone else has more practical experiences on this topic.
