Gap Analysis does not detect any linked components

The gap analysis matrix does not honor linked components in determining gaps.  I see this as a big limitation.  You have to create instances of components in the diagrams before it is considered in the gap analysis.  This beats the purpose of re-using components from an enterprise library on multiple enterprise initiatives.  Am I missing something?
