Stereotype and UML Profiles
« on: June 29, 2017, 12:03:46 am »
Hi guys,

i've extended a class (<<metaclass>>) with a StereoType, added an Attribute called 'Date'. Export to UML Profile, Import - works fine.

Next i've tried to set a special Stereotype Type ('DateType') which could be set via "Type=DateType;" in the Detail Panel, if I create it directly. But how to do it in an derived Type's Attribute? Set Attribute Type of 'Date' to 'DateTime' does not work. Add it to 'Date's Attribute Notes "Type=DateTime;" almost does. But after importing the UML Profile, EA wrote "Description: Type=DateTime;" to this field. After removing 'Description: " from this field, everything is fine, but how to avoid this manual step for each element?

Is there a better way to define an Tagged Value Type for an derived type in UML Profiles?

Thanks for any help!

No, this does not work (as mentioned) - is it a bug?

I found another possibility: creating a structured Tagged Value by using a 'Class' which has an Attribute of Type 'DateTime', and referencing that in the Extension Class as Attribute Type for an Attribute, then it works. But how can I reference this Tagged Value in the shape script?

(And how can I add a screenshot, btw.?)

To add a screen shot, place it on a public server and use the URL in the icon tag (below the bold font icon).
