MDG create relationships for existing elements

Hi,
If I have a bunch of elements in my model and I want to create a lot of relationships between them and other elements in the model how can I do this in bulk?

Can I export out the existing elements to Excel using the MDG Office addin and then create the relationships in Excel before re-importing them?

I dont want to create a whole new bunch of elements, just update the existing ones.

Ex-/import is no option here. You can write a script to do the job. But without knowing the constraints it's hard to tell more.
