Time Aware Model comparison
« on: April 10, 2018, 06:14:21 am »
The user guide has been great for figuring out how to model my As-is and To-be states.  Specifically, the concept of Time Aware Models (http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/model_domains/time_aware_models.html).  The problem is that I can't figure out how to compare the two models.  From this page:

Easily compare 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' models

I can't figure out how I can easily compare the models.  Most searching for compare refers to comparing baselines, but that is not what happens in time aware modelling.  Here, we make clones that trace between the versions of the elements.

Can anyone explain how to compare these models?

Thanks, that was helpful.  I expected more automated comparison support given the way this feature was promoted and described.  I suspect that would be difficult because each diagram and element is a clone and not the same as comparing a baseline diagram to a current diagram.

Hello,

for comparing models or integration in version control I would check LemonTree.

See: https://www.lieberlieber.com/lemontree/en/home-3/
