Is it possible to open model, when floating license model is chosen and no license is currently available on license server?

In such case I would expect EA to ask to run in readonly mode and start anyway - without the need to to have EA Lite installed. It this possible?

No, EA Lite is a separate exe.

Regular EA will always require a license.

I think it would be a good idea however. I don't see why they would really need two separate executables.

You can always send in a feature request

Well, there might be good reasons why they are. But if EA fails to obtain a license, it could easily offer to launch EA Lite instead, if it's there.

But this would really only address the situation where you start EA, find that there are no licenses available in the pool and you realize you just want to look at something so EA Lite will do -- while at the same time the models you want to look at are not published as HTML and there's no WebEA set up.

So useful, but probably not the most common of use cases.
