Kanban MDG not listed in version 12.1

Trying to make use of the Kanban functionality in EA version 12.1 (not 100% sure which edition).  The documentation says to enable the Kanban MDG but that's not listed in my installation.  Am I missing something because I don't think the profile is activated?

The Kanban MDG Technology was added at version 13.0, but you don't need it to create Kanban diagrams. It makes life easier by providing some pre-defined diagram types and patterns, but it's nothing you can't do from the user interface. However, note that there have been a lot of improvements to Kanban since 12.1 and it would definitely be worth upgrading (but I would say that, wouldn't I?  )

Yep its confusing reading the wrong version of the manual. Done that before.
I can second that advice to upgrading as KP recommends. Difference is I don't work for Sparx Systems nor do I get any commission so its kind of independent advice if that's what you are after.

Lets face the licence costs for upgrading Sparx EA isn't going to break the bank and you've probably spent that amount of money in the time you took to figure our your problem.

Thanks to both KP and Sunshine.  I was under the impression from reading the appropriate on-line documents that version 12.1 does have the Kanban profile; I'm disappointed that that's not the case and I'll encourage my employer to move us on to a later version.
