How to create Sub Category (infinity symbol)
« on: October 15, 2018, 11:33:24 pm »
Hi All,

I am little bit struggling with EA 14.  I would like to add to my diagram element (with infinity symbol) which is a hyperlink to other diagram. So if I click this element  It will open for me another diagram.

I was trying to drag and drop this diagram from Project browser menu - with the option Hyperlink, but it always insert for me just a text with small icon.

I am sure it was working in the past - but not sure if I am not skipping some step.

thank you for your advice.

In the old days it was via the context menu Add/Composite. No idea how/where that's located/hidden in newer versions.

Are you sure the element you are referring to (the one with the infinity symbol, which is meant to represent three links of a chain) is a diagram element?
If you are seeing the link icon that usually a sign that it is a regular element that has been made composite.

You can see the actual type of the element if you select it in the diagram and press Alt-Enter.
That should open the element properties dialog.

To make an element "composite", right click on it on a diagram, and choose

New Child Diagram | Select Composite Diagram
