RTF report : hierarchy of model not respected !!!!
« on: April 18, 2012, 07:01:35 pm »
Hi.
I have a problem to make a RTF report of a model.
My model is composed like that:
metazone --> zone --> building block --> business service

So i would like the report to display something like that

metazone 1
zone 1
building block 1
business service 1   .......

metazone 1
zone 2
building block 1
business service 1  .......

metazone 2
zone 1
building block 1
business service 1
............

Unfortunatelly in the reports i have made, the order of the elements seems to be quite random.

Please help me.
Thanks.

Perhaps check the Document Options of the report or, if you are using a template you have created, the report template.

For the report, open the Generate Documentation dialog (click on package, press F8) and click on the Options tab and look at what is set in the Packages By and Elements By fields.

For the template, click on Settings | Document Template Designer: select the template and in the Content panel right-click and select | File | Document Options. Check the same fields as before.

Does that help?
Best Regards, Roy

No distrspect intended to the EA RTF generator, but if RTF can't produce what you want, have a look at eaDocX.
