Original author incorrectly retained on paste

When copying/pasting an item, the original author is preserved, rather than replaced by the new author.  The original author may be dead and could not possibly have created the copy!  While we're at it, the created date is updated (to the paste timepoint), but the modified date is not.  Please rectify.
