If you import an MDG in a model, and then set it to be the "Active" MDG it gets an asterisk as you would expect.
But this setting is not persisted in the model.
After closing and re-opening EA the MDG no longer has the asterisk.

It's persisted per user, not for the model.

I imagine that when EA loads it's ignoring that setting because no such technology exists.

We've also noticed that if you disable then re-enable the MDG (as we do when we're hot-swapping to a new version for testing), the checkmark does not return - apparently ever.  To get it to come back, we have to start a v13 instance and set the checkmark in that, then v14 will recognise it.

So there's definitely "something crook in Tobruk!"
