« on: June 12, 2019, 12:58:22 am »
Hi,

Is there documentation for installing the non ProCloud SparxCloud tool under crossover or wine?

I believe the only thing that prevents the install at the moment is that the installer attempts to add a firewall rule to Windows firewall. Because that doesn't exist the install gets aborted. (Something that is corrected in the Pro Cloud, and once v4 is out of beta you'll be able to use that)

You can run it by copying the files from a Windows install. I'd recommend installing EA (as the easiest way to install the firebird drivers) and its prerequisites. Then run the service with the argument 'standalone'. Wine shuts down services when there's no GUI application running. (Or it did, I haven't checked if that's changed)

Under crossover i was able to install the client, and then I was able to use 7zip to extract the files from the installer, and move the non client ones to the server folder.
There are exe, config and dll files, do i need to keep the "filB8D2104402565A9B9A395550A36E0F21"  named files?

Still trying to getting it working. Can i suggest a batch file sample for running in standalone being part of the install?
