Hi Guys !
In order to make a clean installation of our EA tools (WebEA and Client Corporate Edition v14), I want to install EA under Citrix environment. I saw in this forum that it's possible to do it. So, I'm searching how to do this.
Actually, we have : 3 EA Corporate Edition (installed on personal desktop through a Citrix Client) with floating license, connected to a repository on SQL Server in a LAN network. The license floating server has been installed on the SQL Server computer.
So, the future configuration will be:
"EA Corporate tools " on each of the 3 organisation laptops, published with Citrix
SQL Server 2008 R2 for repository
Floating License server on ? (in a shared drive ? on the SQL Server computer ? other ? ... I don't know how to do).
My team has begun to deploy the "easetupfull.msi" and the "EAUserGuide.msi" and the "EALite.msi" on Citrix XenApp 7.
Once these operations have be done, the team receives this message through a popup box " Sorry, the full version of Enterprise Architect requires a valid key. The application cannot continue" (click on "OK" button). They test with all license keys, always the same message)
1) - I have verified that our license keys are valid in our customer account : ok (the renewal is ok for 2019/2020)
2) - I have verified in the EA PDF Guide the configuration of the full parameters for floating server : it seems ok)
3) - Perhaps, the floating server should be reinstalled ?
4) - Does the client must be activated after a new installation ? (with the activation key) ?
I'm lost in these big space .... I use EA since a very long time on a standalone desktop or laptop ... but in this kind of usage ... it's the first time.
So, if "gurus" or experienced users have been already realized a Citrix installation and deployment of EA tools, they would be my best friends.
Thanks a lot
Best regards from France (Paris)
