Recommendations for 3rd party Version Control
« on: July 01, 2019, 09:06:48 pm »
Dear Forum, Does anyone have any recommendations for 3rd part version control. I know that EA can work with CVS, TFS, Subversion, or SCC. My previous experience of these is limited and only to user level. I now need to add formal version control to a server-based project repository.
We often setup shared project repositories using SQL server tools and most are accessed by small, co-located, development teams (2-4 users). However, our latest project needs to be accessed by 6-10 users across disparate sites. Many thanks...

I've used both TFS and SVN, and both seem to work just fine.

Not related to version control, but if you want to use EA from different location I would strongly suggest to use terminal software such as Remote Desktop or Citrix.
Otherwise you'll end up with frustrated users because of the poor performance (even when using Cloud Server)
