How to re-assign Alt+2 to Glossary in V15?
« on: August 01, 2019, 06:19:48 pm »
In V15, the shortcut opens a dialog titled "Share". Previously this has always been the glossary.

Using the customize keyboard dialog, I assigned Alt+2 to ProjectGlossary (the dialog stated that Alt+2 was unassigned!), but the shortcut still opens the Share dialog (and I then went through all the commands and Alt+2 is not assigned to anything else).

So, is there any way to stop Alt+2 opening the Share dialog? I am guessing the answer is no, which is a pain given learned behaviour.

There were so many options for alternative shortcuts, I don't get why an existing shortcut has been taken for something else!

Sparx - in the same way that menus should not be changed for the sake of it, neither should shortcut keys. It just makes it harder to use a new version (and to help others - it's hard enough to get people to use the tool and makes the job even harder if already learned things change)
