Flow properties in 9.3
« on: August 09, 2012, 04:55:10 pm »
I have been creating flow specifications in SysML 1.2 within EA 9.3. I have added parts to the Flowspec and set their stereotype to flow property. My question is where are the direction tags that used to be in SysML 1.0? Is this now deprecated and if so how do I indicate the direction of the flow property?

Drag a flowPart from the toolbox (including onto the existing part) to get the tagged values.
Or, to do it in bulk right click on flowPart in the toolbox and click synchronize stereotype.

PS. Look on the Internal Block toolbox page.

Thanks Simon found them.

Seems a bit odd to have the Flowspec on the Blocks toolpage and the parts that go on it in another tool page but there you go.
I always specify the flow specs on a block diagram. Does the way the toolboxes are layed out indicate that I should be specifying them on Internal Block Diagrams or is it just a feature of the tollbox layout?

Yeah, I thought it was odd when I started looking at our SysML support, you can expect improvements in a future build.

The easiest way to do them at the moment is by making the flow specification composite and adding the flow properties to its composite diagram, but that's because of how EA's toolboxes have been constructed, not because it's the best idea.
