need urgent help to build/develop MDG

hi

I need please help with the following (simple) problem.
1. I want to generate a new MDG model
2. I use the wizard to generate all the profiles I need
3.  I want to add new elements, stereotypes etc AND no toolbox visible
I have checked the perspective and toolbox visibility and see that all toolboxes are visible .

So why the hell I don't see/find the correspondinh toolbox with all the elements I need to model a new MDG

I am using EA14 Enterprise Edition

I have beeusing EA since version 7.5 and going nuts that with every new version the GUI is changing so that one has to spend time to get used to it.
It happened so often in the last years and it makes me sick.

You'll have to give us a lot more details than what you are giving now.

- Did you create a diagram profile and link that to your toolbox?
- Is the problem that you can't select your toolbox profile from the wizard, or that you can't see the toolbox once the MDG is deployed?
- Did you verify that you filled in all the fields when generating the UML profile xml files?
- Start with a simple example (one stereotype, one diagram and one toolbox)
- Post the xml code of the generated MDG file here

Hi Geert and thanks for your reply

I am using  the MDG technology Builder starter template
so I have all the packages, profiles etc and I now from tha past (I have done it with older EA versions)
that I can generate MDG, import it into EA and use it, etc

my problem is that I cannot see the toolbox when MDG is developed

What does that mean "see the toolbox when MDG is developed"?
What did you expect, and what do you actually see?

sorry if didn't get the information you are asking for.
the way I developed MDG up to now was
you need
1. <<profile>> xxx_MDG
     the the corresponding diagram you define new stereotypes, ...
2. <<toolbox profile>>
     here you design one or more toolboxes with the elements defined in step 1
3. <<diagram profile>> xxx_MDG
      here you define you diagramm types and which toolboxes from step 2
      you intend to use for a specific diagram

in my case when for examle in a diagram from step 1 the toolbox (UML profile helper is no more active visible). I checked the perspective and pined toolboxes but I couldn't find the  toolbox I want to activate

Ah, you mean the profile toolbox (which you need to create a new stereotype item)?

You might need to check if you
- Have the required MDG technologies activated
- Do not have a filter on the perspectives.
