BPMN - Pools and Lanes
« on: January 10, 2020, 12:28:14 am »
Greetings,

Using EA v14 to develop process maps. When adding a lane, it aligns with the pool; I am able to move the lane independent of the pool. Is it possible to lock the lane in place, so the lane cannot be moved?

Not really, but you can set the lane to be non selectable. Right click | Behavior | Selectable

That avoids moving it accidentally, but you have to remember to set it back if you want to select, or resize the lane.

What Geert said. I sometimes struggle with the same issue and I have not found any better way of doing it.

Btw. It works for all elements on a diagram, not just pools and lanes.

In the past, I created a feature request for a [ ] Movable behavioural menu item, specifically for this.   It was a while ago and went nowhere.  Maybe submit another feature request.

As we have ALL found, this behaviour (Movability) is separate from Lockability and Selectability.
