It used to be very productive, being able to drag (and drop) Tags off the Element Browser onto the diagram to set up other elements.  The Tags (and the new Tag "Properties" - found on the new Element Properties window) are missing.

Please restore.

The loss of this feature (being able to drag & drop Tags from one element to another) is really starting to make me unproductive.

  • Can anybody, but preferably a Sparxian provide a rationale for its removal?
  • Is there any other way to quickly propagate Tags to multiple elements via the UI

I'd even be happy with being able to drag tags off the Tags window with an item selected (but, of course, also allowing the dragging of properties that are Tags).

You can still do Ctrl-Shift-T to add a tagged value to a number of selected elements in a diagram.

Maybe that helps?

Thanks, Geert!

Didn't know it existed - after more than a decade of use!

I meant to add that I want to copy the Tag AND value, not just the tag.

It helps but doesn't solve the problem entirely.  It works well for those items where the value can be set at creation time (such as Booleans and Enums etc.) for Tags such as RefGuid which require a two-step process, it's not much use.  I still have to fix each one up individually.

If Tags like RefGuid could be made into a one-step (dialog) process, that could be a good solution.
