EA15.1 Can't add ports on a Custom Style diagram

I'm working on an architecture diagram with the Custom Style enabled.
I cannot create a port on a component - disabling the custom style enables me to add the port.

Note: I also found some issues in getting arrow heads to be properly rendered. I have to move the connector so it's fully displayed
