Aggregation of constraint value - in word documentation
« on: March 07, 2020, 01:55:23 am »
Greetings to everyone!

So straight to the question:

I am modelling a set of use cases, using activity items.
Each activity has one requirement added (lets name it: result) and constraint (description). In their note field I put some free text.
Some of the activities are in child relation to others.

The I generate from it word document, using my template. And this template has a fragment ones in it (to get mentioned 'result' and 'description')

The problem is word output. The parent activity, in place with content of 'description' constraint shows also the values of child items.

The best way to show it the below example, lets imagine its a word output:

1.1 Parent item name
Description: <constraint 'descripion' value 1.1 + constraint 'descripion' value 1.1.1>

      1.1.1 Child item name
       Description: <constraint 'descripion' value 1.1.1>

Of course, I might also made a mistake using this way to achieve my goal. I am open for any suggestion, even if they mean re-writting the cases.

Thanks in advance,

Geert Bellekens

Hi Tom,

From your description I can't really tell what the problem is or where it might be.
Maybe, if you include the templates and the actual structure of your model, we could see what is going wrong
