The shapescript editor will close the window without warning you about edit changes if you hit the red closing box.

13.5 but pretty sure not fixed in any follow up version.

Well, that Ctrl-D in the attributes also deletes without warning and no possibility of undo is probably also known.

Well on the other hand, if you leave the RTF editor open for a while and then close it, it will prompt you to save when you have made no changes.
