test management - test sessions/runs
« on: April 23, 2020, 08:57:39 pm »
Hallo,

we think about whether and how we can use Enterprise Architect for test management.

The thing to handle different test runs/sessions currently seems to me is not really supported.
I want to
-   plan several test runs, what tests shall be included
-   save test results of different test runs

(The tests are mainly tests of external tools that then must be imported.)

Does Enterprise Architect support this functionality?
Where can I found information for this?
Do you have other suggestions what can be combined with Enterprise Architect for this tasks?

I'm not really in the testing area, but had contact in some projects. I'd use EA to create test scenarios from use cases and design (it's work anyway and EA has good traceability). However, manage the real performing of test should be done with some "professional" test tool. You could export relevant parts via CSV and import them in the other tool. I can't recommend one since - see first sentence :-)
