If you filter a diagram, and you think about printing it, you intuitively expect that the output will look like what you see on screen.
Unfortunately, no filtering is applied to the output - so you see the unfiltered diagram (at least on PDF - I couldn't test on a real printer due to COVID-19 restrictions).

Please rectify.

In this case your intuitive feeling does not match with our carefully considered design decisions.

The filters provide a dynamic way of viewing a subset of the diagram/model. Changing generated documentation (which printing would be one method of) in an altered form just because you happen to be viewing it differently would also be counter-intuitive.

One option would be to set items as non-printable instead of using a filter.

Then, with respect, it should warn you that WYSINOTWG.

Diagrams are changing all the time.  A generated version is just a snapshot in time.

Being able to generate a version with the filtered information appropriately rendered, in my view, is still a valid use case.  In effect, as a user, I viewed as another form of autocolour legend.

Oh well...
