When you connect to an arc to another arc, you get a nice large connector proxy to show you where you are connecting to and you can use it to move the proxy around on the target arc.

The problem is that then you move to another diagram item, (whether vertex or arc), the connecting arc's endpoint remains offset from the connected-to arc by the distance of the large connector proxy.  So the end is dangling in mid-air, so to speak.  It's not clear on a complex diagram which arc is connecting to what.

IIRC it wasn't this way in the past.  The connecting arc would touch the connected-to arc correctly.
