Classes as lifeline on SDs
« on: May 19, 2020, 04:55:34 am »
I'm not really astonished, but why on earth does V15 still allow to drag classes as link onto SDs? It's so plain wrong. And that hidden "it will cause data loss on XMI ex/import" somewhere in the documentation won't help. Can't you simply turn that off? Shouldn't be too difficult. Just, if you forgot, to recall: SDs shows communicating objects. Classes do not communicate. They are blueprints for objects.

Because there are too many users that are using it despite the advise against it.

Indeed!  Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

Conversely, if a system allows you to do it, in the absence of any countervailing documentation, then you can do it.
