Is there an API to render shape scripts?

I am thinking of creating a little utility that takes some of the pain out if creating shape scripts.
The plan is for the utility to allow the user to more easily define what they want and then convert it into actual shape scripts.
However one of the biggest parts of this would be if I have to replicate the process that renders an image from the shape scripts.
Therefore, is there an API (or some other way) to render the image a shape script will produce without pasting the shape script into Sparx?
