Is there any way to have navigation cells pop-ups in HTML export?
« on: September 07, 2020, 09:57:21 pm »
Hi all,

Navigation cells are nice, but I really need to have them behave in HTML as they behave in EA: is there any way to achieve that?

Thanks,
Pino

Pino,

What part of the behavior are you talking about?

Hi Geert,

I', referring at the way it works in EA: when you click on the navigation cell the referred content is presented as a pop-up, so you can use this as a quick look to a different diagram (an ArchiMate legend in my case). The HTML report works differently: one clicks on the cell and the frame is fully replaced by the content pointed at by the navigation cell, which is not what I need. The way it works in EA is just perfect, if only it could work the same way in the generated HTML.

If you are into web-development, you can take a look at the CSS templates for the HTML export.

Not my cup of tea I'm afraid.

Hi Geert,

I'm not into web stuff either, which is why I'm asking here  :)

This is the behaviour in EA that I'd like to have in the generated HTML as well: https://i.gyazo.com/7116051658a3d3fe61568211b9c8cb14.mp4

Guess it is possible using javascript embedded in the HTML. However if that is beyond your skill set then perhaps put a feature request in to Sparx for the HTML generation or alternatively ask for it in WebEA or Prolaborate.

Happy to help
