IIRC, you can't, normally, show the Notes compartment if you're not in rectangular mode.  Is there any way with automation to react to a request by the user to display the Notes compartment if not in rectangular mode?

TIA,
Paolo

What we do is to use a "meaningful" diagram property to switch between non-/rectangular and test that in the shape script.

I've never had much luck with the compartment properties of shapescripts.  Not one of ours uses them.  That's why I'm asking if anyone else has managed to do it.
