Assign existing file to a class
« on: March 13, 2009, 04:19:46 am »
I have a model that need to be synchronized with existing code.  The file structure is not the same than the one we used before.

If I select my package and using the Context Menu I activate Code Engineering / Code Generation, a dialog box appear and the files associated to classes present in my package are listed.  The model still remember old target files path but I need to change them.  I'd prefer not change the file structure according to what EA is expecting ... and adapt model's target files to the new file structure.

In the class property dialog I can't find where the file path is set.  Could you help me please...

Thanks

Eve

Look at View | Properties.

Alternatively, clear all filenames in a package (allowing you to set them at code generation) by selection 'Code Engineering' | 'Reset Options for this Package' from the context menu of a package in the project browser.

I am having the same problem, but I do not want to reset all target files, just a few.
EA should really provide an edit for this information.
What do you think?

The filename is in the properties window.
