Regarding On prem EA and Pro cloud server
« on: April 06, 2023, 08:12:46 pm »
Hi Team,

We want to access the On-prem Enterprise Architect using the Pro cloud server.

Do in need to install the pro cloud server in the VM, where the EA is installed ???

Does Trial version of pro cloud server contains the  OSLC 2.0 rest APIs ?

Thanks.

No, you need to install PCS on a server, that is typically not the same machine that runs your client software.

I'm pretty sure the trial version is a full feature version.

Provided you have your EA repository on a shared DB e.g. SQL Server, MySQL... the Pro Cloud Server can be installed on any server available for all users.
Then you can set up the access to the EA DB and configure it as per your needs.

The standard full installation of the Pro Cloud Server works fine without any license for EA desktop clients. The license and OCSL API only applies to solutions like Prolaborate.

What configuration needs to be done in the Pro cloud server use the OSLC 2.0 API ?

I have on prem EA, also I have pro cloud server installed.

What is the next step to use the Rest API of pro cloud server to access EA data?
