Entity stereotype
« on: December 27, 2023, 12:52:54 am »
Dear all,

I start to use EA 16, but when I try to apply the entity stereotype to a class its icon does not change as it changed in previous versions, while if I apply boundary or control stereotypes it changes the class icon.

Does anyone knows how to change the class icon when using the entity stereotype?

Start > Appearance > Preferences > Objects > Classes honor analysis stereotypes

If it's not that, I'd check if they are actually getting a stereotype from a profile.

Dear Eve,

Thank you for your reply, but it does not work... "Classes honor analysis stereotypes" was already checked. And when I select AllUml profiles I have to add the entity estereotype, and when I applied it to a class it remains a textual estereotype, but if I choose boundary or control (that I have to add too) it changes the class icon...

Have you tried in another model?

I can't think of other anything else that would cause it to fail right now.

Yes, I did tried in another models. I am thinking I must had made something wrong. I clicked in the three points bottom next to stereotype field and the entity stereotype did not appeared in the stereotypes list.

So I choosed the AllUML perspective and UML standard profile, but the entity stereotype still did not appear. Then I clicked in the new bottom and write "entity", then the entity stereotype appeared along other estereotypes like boundary and control... But while boundary and control worked (changing the class icon), the entity did not.

It says that the entity stereotype applies to class, business class, class, is it correct or it occured because I registred this stereotype many times?
